WASHINGTON, DC, March 20, 2024 – The OneRail Coalition announced that Patty Long, President of the Railway Supply Institute (RSI), has joined its Board of Directors.

“The Railway Supply Institute has long been a valuable member of the OneRail Coalition, and Patty is a terrific addition to our knowledgeable and engaged board,” said OneRail Board Chair and American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association President Chuck Baker. “Patty is a well-respected supply industry leader with over 30 years of experience in government relations, public affairs and communications.  We welcome her expertise and look forward to her contributions.”

OneRail Coalition Director Devon Barnhart said, “Patty’s strengths as the leader of RSI, whose members touch nearly every aspect of the rail supply chain, will help advance OneRail’s mission of raising awareness for the many economic, environmental, and safety benefits freight and passenger rail provide. She will continue to be a valued voice in championing policies that support the rail industry and the good paying jobs it provides.”

Said Long, “In representing a broad range of rail industry segments, the OneRail Coalition has a solid reputation as a credible resource for rail policy with decisionmakers in Washington. I’m excited to help move the organization forward.”

Prior to joining RSI in 2021, Long spent nine years with the Plastics Industry Association where she served as Chief Operating Officer and interim CEO. In addition, Patty spent two years as an executive staff member of the National Asphalt Pavement Association and almost 20 years with the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM).
